How to Love Yourself P.5 - Make Time to Celebrate Yourself! (Post #8)

Hello Hottest Moms! In one of our previous posts, we discussed the dangers of self-criticism. But how do we break free from those thinking patterns? The answer is simple: by making time to celebrate ourselves!

Isn’t it funny how much time we spend criticizing ourselves for the smallest things we do wrong, yet we don’t spend anywhere near as much time giving ourselves credit for the smallest things we’re doing right? Some of us don’t make any time at all to celebrate ourselves. Does that sound healthy?

When we make time to criticize ourselves it breaks us down and doesn’t give us any opportunity to grow or change. On the other hand, when we make time to celebrate our little victories our spirit and confidence builds, giving us the opportunity to learn and grow.

The reason this is important is because you’re going to come across a time where you feel alone and no one is there to support you in whatever you’re trying to accomplish. When you learn to support yourself, you become your own cheerleader, keeping you motivated even when no one else is there. Wouldn’t that be better than beating yourself up, feeling miserable and not accomplishing anything?

Please understand no one is forcing you to spend time to beat yourself up. Think about all the time you’ve spent beating yourself up and how things would look if you used that time to celebrate yourself. Don’t worry. Forgive yourself for not being perfect and take control! Make time to celebrate yourself, regardless of how small your victories are. Tell us one thing you’ve done recently that you’re proud of in the comments, regardless of how small you may think it is. Let’s celebrate together! Have a great day and never forget: you are Confident, Resilient, and Beautiful!
